Our principles

o We run the largest community project in east Oldham, which falls into three broad categories: The Wellbeing Project, The Food Project and The Youth Project.

o We own one of the largest community centres in east Oldham.

o We run the largest foodbank in east Oldham.

o We will shortly open the only food co-operative in this half of Greater Manchester (using the model known as a ‘food pantry’)

o We operate a free clothes bank.

o We sponsor involvement from all the ethnic groups living here: white British, Asian, African, and European.

o We refuse to discriminate in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, creed, sexuality, etc.

Our schedule

Monday St Barnabas Church We assemble for Christian worship at 9:30 am for services of spiritual, intelligent and meaningful worship. Find out more → People of Faith Ministries We are a Pentecostal group assembling for Christian worship at 12:00 noon. Reflections Troupe dancing in the Church Hall at 12:00 noon. A small weekly subscription covers rent, costumes, and transport during the competition season. More details are available from Michelle on (07932) 992 223.	Booking our Halls We rent the Main Church Hall (above) and our smaller Side Hall to anyone seeking to make east Oldham a better place in which to live or work. For example: Local council ward surgeries, as announced. Voting in local and national elections. PACT meetings, as announced. Police surgeries, as announced. Mondays Prayer group We meet at 2:30 pm, in the vestry for 30 minutes of quiet and meditation. All are welcome. Chadderton Brass Band We meet in the Small Hall at 8:00 pm.	Tuesdays St Barnabas Church We assemble for a simple, said Communion service at 10:00 am. Find out more → Weight Watchers We meet in the Main Hall, 6:00–7:30 pm. Wednesdays Bible study and breakfast We meet at 9:00 am in the Main Church Hall for a short Bible study, followed by a time of prayer and a good breakfast. All are welcome. Reflections Troupe dancing in the Church Hall. Sessions start at 6:00 pm for younger children. A session for teenagers then follows, and the adults group meets between 8:30–10:00 pm. Thursdays Stay and Play Stay and play sessions are run by Action for Children. We convene in the Main Hall between 1:30–3:00 pm. Fridays Junior Youth Club We meet at 5:30–7:30 pm, in the Hall, run with staff from the Mahdlo.	Saturdays Various Occasional concerts and social events. Please check here for an up-to-date list.
